South Tyrol – The other side of Italy
Italy’s northernmost province combines Alpine staidness with Italian joie-de-vivre,
the Dolomites – a UNESCO World Heritage site – and cultural diversity.
South Tyrol is a region abounding with contrasts,
between Mediterranean landscape and Alpine peaks,
deeply rooted tradition and cosmopolitan curiosity.
The allure of South Tyrol lies in its variety
and the harmony of opposites.
Rasun - Anterselva
Colourful meadows, fragrant forests and picturesque landscapes make the Antholz Valley the ideal holiday area for those seeking relaxation. The unique natural landscape of the Rieserferner Ahrn Nature Park makes the heart of mountain lovers beat faster: majestic peaks, rushing waterfalls and the blue-green shimmering Antholz Lake form a unique and breathtaking mountain backdrop.
The Antholz Valley is also a popular destination for explorers and sports lovers. In summer, the valley can be explored on foot, by e-bike or mountain bike via easy forest and alpine hiking trails, but also via rocky and steep mountain tours.
In winter, 60 km of cross-country ski trails as well as the biathlon centre (Biathlon Olympics 2026) located only 3 km away offer pure cross-country skiing fun. Numerous snow tours, which can be mastered with snow or winter boots or also with touring skis, offer an indescribable experience in the midst of the white snowy landscape.
There is something for everyone in the Antholz Valley!
